Rwanda Kodukak

In 2006, 257 coffee farmers from the Kigeyo region of Rwanda came together to collect and process coffee cherries in order to improve the quality of Kigeyo’s coffee. In 2015, they banded together formally under the name KODUKAK (Koperative Dutezimbere Kawa Kigeyo), at last a registered cooperative. Located on the shores of Lake Kivu, KODUKAK today has almost 1000 member farmers, of which 34% are women! 

Our importing and impact team, Cooperative Coffees, began working with KODUKAK in 2016. It is an integral component of our delicious Valentino Blend and we are thrilled to be sharing this delicious washed coffee as a single origin with you for the first time.
